Sunday to Sunday letting. Weekend lets out of season may be available at £100 per night. Christmas and New Year lets negotiable.

Entrance Lobby.
Large living room overlooking the estuary, a studio window and door to the garden.
Dining room and fitted kitchen with electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, sink and dish washer, radio.
Pantry/larder.
Back lobby.
Outside room containing WC, basin and automatic washing machine.

FIRST FLOOR
Bedroom 1 with single bed and balcony facing the sea.
Bedroom 2 with double bed and balcony facing the sea (audio system).
Bedroom 3 with twin beds, facing the sea.
WC with basin.
Bathroom with large shower and basin.

NOTES:
Electricity is provided with the rent and there are night storage radiators. Bed linen and towels are not provided (beds have duvets). There is a TV, DVD player and audio system in the living room, which also has an open fire (wood and coal provided) and a grand piano.

There is a landline telephone.
(01548842643) and free wireless broadband. We rent a mooring at South Sands for use of the guests.

ABOUT

The Studio is a 3 bedroom, traditional  semi-detached
coastal house, set in a beautiful location on the South Devon Coast


On the cliffs of Sharpitor, The Studio sits amongst National Trust woodland, overlooking the sandbar, marking the entrance to Salcombe Estuary

The unspoilt views from The Studio take in the spectacular Devon coastline,
the broad estuary towards Salcombe and form the centre piece
to this idyllic, tucked away, holiday location

There is a well appointed kitchen, with cooker, microwave and dishwasher

 There's also a table with lovely views of the garden and estuary

The local warm climate allows many plants to flourish throughout the year

 The stepped garden has mature beds, a table for al fresco dining, plus loungers and Weber barbeque 

Lounge and Entertainment

In the large living and dining room, there's a fine grand piano, over parquet flooring and a flat screen Smart TV, stereo and dvd player

There's an open fire for winter evenings and picture frame window
overlooking the estuary

and single, all with sea views

Loo's and Laundry

 

There is a modern shower room and sink, with separate toilet on the first floor

Coastal Walks

Climb the steps from the Studio
and you are on the Bolt Head to Bolt Tail National Trust coastal path.

Sandy Beaches

 

Recently voted the best beaches in England.  Mill bay, Moor Sands and Gara Rock, are complemented by South/North Sands and numerous secret coves.

kayak or paddle board

Salcombe 

Salcombe is a beautiful coastal town and  

centre for sailing on a broad estuary.  
It's also home to some of the finest Devon pasties, crab sandwiches
and Gin you're ever likely to find

Sit and Relax

 

Visitors have been known to do nothing at all when spending time at the studio. The view and garden are often more than enough 

Food and Drink

 

There are some fabulous places to eat locally.  South Sands Hotel offers everything from Bistro style burgers, to fine dining within a five minute walk. The Winking Prawn and several  excellent pubs and restaurants in Salcombe, mean there's always somewhere new to try

Overbecks

 

A short walk from the Studio, is the wonderful National Trust, Overbecks House and Gardens.  Full of history and a remarkable garden with an array of subtropical plants that can be perused as the kids look for Fred, the resident friendly ghost

South Sands and East Portlemouth Ferries
 

Jump on the sea-tractor at South Sands and be warmly welcomed aboard by Tim and the Harvest Reaper team: www.southsandsferry.co.uk who will drop you off, after a 15 minute ferry ride, in central Salcombe. 
There's also the East Portlemouth ferry which runs across the estuary from the steps of the Ferry Inn at Salcombe, so you can explore the beaches and coastal paths on both sides of the water
